The 4 main types of aspergillosis disease.These infections are caused by inhaling the spores of a small fungus called aspergillus, most commonly aspergillus fumigatus. (3) an aspergilloma, a mycelial ball developing in a pulmonary cavity caused by another pathology such as tuberculosis or sarcoidosis. (4) invasive aspergillosis, which spreads through the pulmonary blood pathways to other organs, affecting mainly immunocompromised patients.
